Grey Matter
This is one of my favorite works, especially in terms of story, mark-making, and color. Walking the Dog was a collaboration with long-time creative friend Gabriel Tiburcio, who in his own pursuit of reclaiming the language of his parentage, wrote poems to practice in Tagalog.
I decided to interpret one of these poems, using it as an opportunity to practice drawing nature and playing with colors.
